Rodney Holder, a traffic officer from the Abilene Police Department, has died after being in a wreck on his motorcycle. 

The officer was in pursuit of a speeder when a car pulled out in front of him causing a collision.  Officer Holder was ejected off his bike then collided with another parked vehicle.   The wreck occurred on South 13th and Sayles. He was pronounced dead at 12:15 at Hendrick Medical Center.

Officer Holder was married, and leaves behind a daughter, son, and grandchildren.
