Durman, was killed while responding to a
noise complaint. Police have arrested Glenn R. Doneghy, the alleged driver
of the vehicle that struck Durman, and charged him with murder.
He pleaded not guilty.
Durman, was investigating a noise
ordinance violation at approximately 10:00 pm.
on North Limestone. He
had responded to the location to locate a vehicle that had been playing
music too loudly.
After striking Officer Durman, the driver of the SUV fled to a nearby
apartment, where he was taken into custody by members of the agency's ERU
team. He was charged with murder and numerous additional charges in
connection with the accident and previous warrants.
Officer Durman had served with the agency for 2 ½ years. |
