Larry Jackson MS, CPP CLET, DT Instructor Trainer and Technical Consultant

Lawrence (Larry) Jackson has spent the greater part of his career teaching difficult subjects to difficult audiences.  Whether it was teaching new police recruits, or seasoned law enforcement veterans, Larry has been called upon to deal with issues and topics that most of us would choose not to acknowledge; survival in life and death situations.

Over the last 20 years, Larry has taught such topics as Arrest and Control Tactics, Violent Patient Management, Firearms, and Sexual Assault Prevention programs.  His enthusiastic and high energy presentation style complements the serious material of his basic and instructor programs in PPCT Defensive Tactics, Violent Patient Management, and Women’s Self Defense,

In addition to being a law enforcement use of force instructor, Larry works extensively with security and non law enforcement personnel to bring them safety strategies and skills.

His newest training program has met with enthusiastic reviews.  Specially designed for human service workers who must go into homes and residences, the Visitors NOT Victims program teaches students to recognize environmental, verbal, and physical signs of impending physical violence.  The program teaches participants simple and effective techniques to de-escalate or deal with the violence before it gets to a critical point.

A 23 year police veteran, Larry holds a black belt in Aikido and Masters degree from Michigan State University.  Larry also holds the title of Certified Protection Professional (CPP) awarded to him by the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) the international professional security organization as well as being a Certified Law Enforcement Trainer(CLET).
